How is stamped concrete different from a wooden deck or brick pavers?
-
Cost: After all is said and done standard
installation of stamped concrete will cost nearly 30% less than either
wooden decks or brick pavers
-
Maintenance: To keep a wooden deck in top condition
requires a lot of maintenance and frequent refinishing. Additionally, the life
expectancy is far shorter than concrete. Interlocking pavers, on the
other hand, are known for settling unevenly and fostering weeds to grow
between one another.

What maintenance is required for stamped concrete?
-
To clean the surface of the concrete you can use a pressure washer
or regular garden hose. We also recommend resealing the surface every
1-3 years. Concrete is very low maintenance and will never lose its
strength. If it is time to reseal you patio, walkway, or driveway
contact us today and we will be happy to give it the "like new" look for
a reasonable price!
How's it done?
Will stamped concrete crack?
-
Stamped concrete is made with the same performance materials as any
other residential and commercial concrete and can crack. To minimize any
risk of cracking we follow three industry procedures to reduce the
chances of cracks occurring. The first and most important is providing a
solid ground with 4 inches of compacted sub-base of stone. Second, we
place reinforcing wire mesh and rebar to further strengthen concrete.
Third, which is optional, we can add fiberglass strands to the concrete
mix.
